The client for this piece wanted a simple cabinet to display a few very special pieces of pottery - some by Walter Keeler. The brief was that each piece must have its own individual shelf which could be moveable so no one piece of pottery outshone the others. Also it had to be made from only wood and glass - no metal!
So I designed this very simple dovetailed cabinet in Maple with individual glass shelves, each of which has three fixing points to give stability. Each shelf can be positioned at different heights. The front of the cabinet has a single glass door with a simple maple hinge and retainer.
