This large Oak framed cabinet was made for a client who knew exactly what he wanted in terms of its layout and storage capability. He had been searching for a number of years for something similar but had not been able to find the design anywhere.
So I designed this piece which incorporates a few elements that made the cabinet individual and special but still retained the basic layout that he wanted.
The cabinet has a central column of five drawers, either side of which is a door with two internal shelves. The fronts of the drawers are in a book-matched Oak veneer. The case is from three dovetailed Oak frames each separated by a strip of contrasting Walnut, and the handles are a turned cylinder of sandwiched Oak and Walnut.
